Laser Therapy

Foothills offer therapeutic laser (photobiomodulation) treatments for dogs and cats. Therapeutic laser treatments are a sterile, safe, non-invasive, pain-free, drug-free, treatment that does not require anesthesia. Our veterinarians use this modality to treat a wide range of injuries, wounds, fractures, inflammation, neurologic conditions, illnesses, and general pain that can have a negative impact on your pet’s health and quality of life. It can decrease joint pain from arthritis or trauma, and increase joint flexibility. Often pets can experience improvement within 15-30 minutes. Your pets will benefit from this revolutionary approach to healing.

Veterinary Therapeutic Laser

The therapeutic laser produces a high-intensity, non-thermal beam of protons of light that deeply penetrate tissue without causing damage or a physical incision. Through a biological response, the protons are absorbed by the injured cells. The cells are stimulated to increase metabolism, pain relief, a reduction in inflammation, an increase in blood flow locally, and an acceleration of the healing time. Treatment protocols are unique to each patient and condition, and will vary in time and cost. Typically most pets experience an improvement in their condition within the first few treatments.
