Low Cost Spay/Neuter

service-image

Our low-cost spay/neuter program is dedicated to helping low-income pet owners in our community get their pets spayed or neutered. Spaying and neutering is an important step in keeping your pets healthy. It prevents unwanted pregnancies, painful uterine infections, aggression, and roaming behaviors.

To be eligible to participate in this program a gift certificate MUST be presented on the day of surgery. This gift certificate is only available for pick up from the Gallatin County Food Bank. The gift certificate allows the client to be eligible for the low-cost program, it does not mean the surgery has been paid for already.

Rabies vaccinations will be required. If an owner does not bring proof of current vaccination, a rabies vaccination will be given at an additional charge and at the owner's expense

No animal under 4 pounds will be permitted.

We reserve the right to refuse service to any aggressive pets or disrespectful clients.

NOTE: PAYMENT FOR ROUTINE PROCEDURES WILL BE DUE AT TIME OF PATIENT DROP OFF. If there are any additional fees due to unforeseen circumstances, those will be due at the time of patient pick up.

What is included in the procedure cost:

  • Full examination by the veterinarian
  • IV catheter placement
  • Oral pain management to go home post-operatively
  • A current rabies vaccine if proof of a current vaccine is not presented at time of drop off
  • An elizabethan collar (lampshade cone) if one is not brought with the patient the day of surgery
  • Subcutaneous fluids
  • Local anesthetic
